The finish on this table is absolutely beautiful. The item specs say it is a solid wood top, but the finish is so perfectly smooth that it almost feels like formica. Not saying it is formica, just saying it is perfect. Its just slightly higher than a coffee table, and I feel like its more suitable the way Im using it as sort of a longer length end table between two chairs. It could also easily be used as a childrens table if you had some little chairs. Theres no bottom shelf on it so I stuck a basket of blankets underneath and another basket with my books and pens, right next to my chair. You can tell by my picture that the table is plenty wide for lots of items and is actually wide enough to maybe put together a jigsaw puzzle in your family room. All in all, its a really beautiful, nice heavy table and will support about 150 lb, according to the specs.
Awesome quality and assembly is a breeze. Very happy with this coffee table. My husband has been able to work comfortably with his laptop on the couch because of the great height of the table. But it could be too high for some people - definitely make sure you like the height. I hope this was helpful!
The Livinia Florence 47" Wooden Coffee Table/Malaysian Oak Solid Wood Sofa Table (Walnut) is very sturdy and its simple design makes any living space look exquisite. The Walnut finish is great and goes great with most all decor. I would highly recommend this perfectly sized table to anyone in the market for a new table.
